Welcome to CPSA Chicago District Chapter 103!

We are thrilled to showcase some of the most talented colored pencil artists in Illinois and other parts of the Midwest!


Formal chapter meetings are generally held 4 times per year: 

September/October, February, March, and May. 


Our next meeting is scheduled for Sunday, September 20, 2026 

 1:30- 4 pm, Messenger Public Library (North Aurora) Rm 1

The Colored Pencil Society of America, Chicago District Chapter 103 proudly invites you to be a part of our 2026 Exhibition, 

Vibrant Hues: A Kaleidoscope of Colored Pencil Art


This year's show will be IN PERSON, at the Prairie Center for the Arts in Schaumburg, Illinois - now known as the Al Larson Cultural Center  October 3 - October 30, 2026

Our top prize this year is the Vera Curnow Founder's Award ($250).  We are grateful to the Colored Pencil Society of America's governing board for their generosity in supporting our show!  

As in Prior years, 100% colored pencil pieces are always welcome, but so too are ones that are predominantly colored pencil.  

You may submit up to 3 works per artist.

The deadline for entries is September 14, 2026.

Maintain Your Membership!

Your local Chapter 103 Chicago annual dues are due by October 31st.  To renew (or join) you also need to be a member of the Colored Pencil Society of America (CPSA).


👉 For CPSA renewal, most current members must also renew by October 31 to receive To The Point magazine and other benefits, including maintenance of signature status. NEW members will have a renewal date that matches their initial join date.

Meetings

We generally meet at 1:30 pm at the Messenger Public Library of North Aurora unless otherwise noted. We have guests, workshops and demonstrations.  Interested in meeting at other locations in and around Chicago?  Please contact us! 

Membership

Includes:

  • Meetings at least 4 times per year
  • Invitations to attend chapter retreats, exhibitions, and workshops
  • Our newsletter, What's The Point? , which details our chapter information and current events.
