Richard Huck Workshop

09/20/2019

October 19-20, 2019

Fairfield Inn by Marriott

700 National Parkway

Schaumburg, IL.

The Richard Huck workshop is only a few weeks away and for those who will be attending, Richard has some suggestions that will help you to be prepared.

As far as supplies go Richard uses Prismacolor pencils and Verithins. Of course you do not have to use this brand. He starts out with an under-painting usually in Prismacolor Verithin Indigo Blue – so if you want to try his technique bring along your Verithins.

He also suggests that if you had your still life already drawn on your paper that would speed things along, and be sure to bring reference photos for the background. If you have looked at his work you know that his backgrounds bring a bit of surrealism to his artwork.

During the workshop he will be talking about his creative process and insights into making an intriguing still-life with layering techniques and of course some color theory. Should be fun!

You should bring colored pencils, kneaded and white erasers, a sanding block along with sharpening tools and a lamp if you think you'll need extra light.

If you're interested in attending, there are still a few seats available. Download the workshop flyer and contact Kimberly Mullarkey.
